It was Friday afternoon at the yard, and Dave had been hyping up his “Ultimate Luck Challenge” all week. He finally convinced his three buddies to sit in a straight line on tiny plastic stools, completely blindfolded. The rules were simple: sit still and hope for the best.
Dave hoisted a massive balloon filled with cold, black, muddy water, pulling it back like a bowling ball. As he let it swing, the tension was palpable. The first two guys, sensing the ominous swoosh of the pendulum, subtly leaned back, narrowly dodging disaster. But poor Jimmy, sitting confidently at the very end of the line, was completely oblivious. He thought he was crushing the challenge. The balloon hit him dead center, exploding in a spectacular splash of dark sludge. As Jimmy sat there dripping, the whole crew erupted into uncontrollable laughter.
